Artist's Comments

This is the second image that I took at Reading in the Oracle Shopping centre.
I shot at a high Iso and I was very carefull with my metering so not to blow out the window detail. I shot in RAW which helps in the Post Production.
I used a Sigma 12-24mm lens with no filters. I'd also suggest a full view too!
Canon 5D, Sigma 12-24mm Lens @12mm, ISO 800, 1/80th Sec @ f16

ISO 1600 again?

Are all Canon's SLRs this clean at high ISO's, or only this monster?

This is generally true, but the Canon 5D is the highest quality at high ISO's that's currently available. A quick run through Neat Image does wonders to ;-)

That's an 800 Iso image. I thought that it was higher but the Exif says other wise!

At 100% the 20/30D and the 5D have the same high Iso, low noise capabilities. But (and this is a big but) the 5D's sensor is a lot bigger so when it's enlarged to a given size (eg 800x600) it's apparent noise is a lot lower (the same ratio as their sensor sizes). So the 5D is 40% clearner, making it the king to low light at the moment.

I usually prefer minimum post-editing, I like straight out of the camera.
